When the brightest light in the night sky is gone, it feels like deep darkness is setting in, but it's not. There are stars, stars that you can only see during a new moon. So, even when the full moon is gone, everything will be fine.
Serayumi Seikahime is the "combined" form of Tsukihime and Hoshihime, the culmination of Serayumi's long and arduous journey towards overcoming the internal conflict within herself. Seikahime lends her physical features from both Tsukihime and Hoshihime: her hair color and her left eye are Tsukihime's, while her scales and her right eye belong to Hoshihime. Beyond that, the white flowers laced throughout her flowing black hair, akin to the stars twinkling in the night sky, cement her identity as a true princess of the celestial river; the witch who fights to protect the entire universe.During her first visit to Elpis in Endwalker, Serayumi is given the rare opportunity to do something she could never have dreamed of previously — to see her sister one more time. After an emotional reunion, she recounts the tales of her adventure up to that point in full to Haruyumi, who meets her with equal parts excitement and sorrow for the tribulations she had to endure. Serayumi confesses her immense guilt for the events in her past, events that have yet to come to pass for the Haruyumi she is speaking to, for they lie in wait in her future. Despite exhibiting clear shock at learning of her impending doom, Haruyumi regains herself quickly; she almost immediately embraces the girl sobbing uncharacteristically before her, wiping Serayumi's tear-stained face and telling her that she had already forgiven her from the beginning. She tells Serayumi that she will resolve to stay her course and face her grim fate to guarantee her little sister's future; in exchange, Serayumi must promise to give her all to put an end to The Final Days once and for all. Though initially vehemently opposed to let Haruyumi die "again," Serayumi reluctantly agrees to her sister's proposition eventually, promising to return and visit her after the conclusion of her journey. In the depths of the Aetherial Sea, when Serayumi stands before Hydaelyn at the Mothercrystal, Seikahime awakens for the first time. Her reunion with Haruyumi and the promise they share to complete each of their quests allows her to finally forgive herself and let go of the past to look to the future. In doing so, she finally accepts that Tsukihime and Hoshihime are both equally her and that one does not preclude the other; that the power she wields need not purely be used for the sake of destruction, because it can also be a means to protect those who have now become precious to her. This transformation gives her the impetus and strength to face the Goddess of Light's challenge as her true self, overcoming the trial.Fully in tune with both of her selves, Seikahime can fully utilize both Tsukihime's vast pool of aether and Hoshihime's even greater reserve of dynamis, accumulated as her love for Etheirys and its people grew over the course of her journey as the Warrior of Light. Seikahime walks the path of the Black Mage, weaponizing Hoshihime's fiery passion and Tsukihime's icy efficiency in perfect harmony. Her arcane mastery is second to none, channeling dimensional magic to cast world-shattering spells. With this newfound power, she dispatches both the Endsinger and Zenos at the end of the universe, bringing a close to this volume of her adventure.Seikahime's weapon of choice is Blade's Fury. The clock used as the base of the stave's tip signifies her dominion over time, while the crescent symbolizes Tsukihime's rebirth as a new moon. The four-point purple star is Hoshihime's representation as the shining beacon she has been for others as the Warrior of Light, and the red and blue "clock hands" point not only to a Black Mage's signature Astral Fire and Umbral Ice, but also the duality of Serayumi. When transformed into a weapon herself, Seikahime takes the form of the Exquisite Blood Rapture. The wings on the hilt and the falling feathers pay respect to the greatest enemy she has ever faced, while the blade shrouded with nebula-like energies and the miniature glowing orbs that resemble stars orbiting its length mirror the infinite expanse she has traveled and the countless stars she has saved in her determination to achieve a good ending.

I couldn't have loved this world this much on my own. The world only looks so beautiful because you’re in it. If you also think it’s beautiful, then please, love yourself, too.
Serayumi Hoshihime is the alternate self created by Tsukihime, an existence primarily compelled by Tsukihime's wishes to become more human and become more like her sister. As a result of Tsukihime sealing off her powers and her memories, Hoshihime leads a mundane life as an ordinary girl in Sui-no-Sato before the call of adventure brings her to depart for Limsa Lominsa. As one interpretation of the Warrior of Light, Serayumi's story from this point onwards is largely told by Final Fantasy XIV, although Hoshihime is the primary participant of the events of the game, and the only Serayumi present throughout A Realm Reborn.Hoshihime, like the Haruyumi that Tsukihime wanted to emulate in her creation, is a cheery, positive and endearing girl who is nonetheless elegant, a stark contrast to the brooding Tsukihime who tends to solve problems with logic and force. She is friendly and carries with her an air of magnetism, which draws attention, both good and bad, towards her. She is much more vain than Tsukihime (who dresses very practically "for the job"), and always has an eye on the latest fashion trends in Eorzea and beyond. Although her liking and aptitude for combat is diminished compared to her counterpart, she feels very strongly and is not afraid to fight those who would threaten her or those she cares about.Despite only having access to a fraction of the aether that Serayumi possesses, Hoshihime subconsciously chooses to begin her journey as an Arcanist as a result of Tsukihime's affinity for summoning magic, quickly becoming a fully-fledged Summoner herself. As the Warrior of Light, Hoshihime manages on her own with the help of the Blessing of Light and the Echo during A Realm Reborn, but later gains a literal ally in herself in the form of Tsukihime, whom she first encounters as Esteem. Tsukihime's assistance is what allows her to progress through most of Heavensward relatively unhindered after temporarily losing the Blessing of Light, but despite the shaky cooperation between the two Serayumis, they run into bigger problems in Stormblood when they appear to suddenly lose another part of themselves, restricting Tsukihime's ability to assist Hoshihime and leaving her to fend for herself against Zenos in battle. The Garlean prince initially proves to be too much for them to handle, but they eventually overcome him after retrieving the missing piece of their soul. Not wanting to take any chances, however, Hoshihime chooses to improve her own combat skills lest Tsukihime becomes unable to switch places with her again in the future. Hence, she later takes up Pictomancy during Shadowbringers, making a contract with Ruru, Tsukihime's Carbuncle familiar, to grant her a rather "magical" transformation that temporarily allows her to amplify her arcane output...Hoshihime's weapon of choice as a Pictomancer is the Exquisite Renaissance Brush. Less of a paintbrush and more of a beautifully ornate magic wand, the dazzling sparkles dripping from the weapon represent her status as "the brightest star in the sky" while transformed. Of course, to the ever-fashionable Hoshihime, the look wouldn't be complete without the elaborate makeup palette in her other hand.As a Summoner, she wields the Exquisite Encounter in Lilies. The whimsical design of the book — with its iridescently glowing portals, flowery adornment and a majestic bird soaring in the cosmos — simultaneously plays to Hoshihime's adventurous spirit and her girly pastel pink princess aesthetic. After all, the realm she was born into is her wonderland. When transformed into a weapon herself, Hoshihime takes the form of the Figment of Spring. The slow-falling petals emanating from the greatsword are a reflection of her graceful personality, with the striking pink and beautiful flowers covering the surface of the blade embodying her signature aesthetic. Most of all, the weapon's name signifies Hoshihime's existence as part of Tsukihime's desire for Serayumi to shine brightly for others, just as her sister once did.

Dew turns to vapor, and everything within it vanishes without a trace. Will I ever see showers of blessing? Will I ever meet my people again, and know them anew?
Serayumi Tsukihime is the original form of Serayumi, created by Athena as part of her advanced experiments in using time control to achieve immortality. Created with an enormous amount of dense aether, she was also infused with a small amount of dynamis upon her conception, thus possessing the human-like sentience of an entelechy like Meteion. The amount of aether constituting Tsukihime also inevitably made her a living weapon, surpassing all other creations in battle, and thus she served as the ultimate defense mechanism for Pandæmonium. However, when the Final Days first arrived on Etheirys and Pandæmonium came under attack by Terminus Beasts, Tsukihime unleashed the full extent of her power in an attempt to defend the facility, successfully fending off the relentless assault, but also inadvertently destroying the entirety of Elpis and annihilating all of its denizens in the process. Haruyumi, her "elder sister" and predecessor, gave her life to reverse the damage caused by this incident, but Tsukihime's resulting abject horror at the catastrophic consequences of her actions and fear of her own power subsequently prompt her to seal herself away for over 12,000 years, eventually coming to rest in the deepest parts of the Ruby Sea.Prior to the events of A Realm Reborn, Azem's soul is reincarnated into the dormant Tsukihime and this awakens her once more, but as the haunting memories of the past flood in, she uses her dynamis to create another self — Hoshihime — and returns to slumber while Hoshihime takes her place on the now-sundered Source under the belief that she is an ordinary Raen girl from Sui-no-Sato.After Hoshihime obtains the Soul of the Dark Knight in Heavensward, the Soul Crystal's energies begin to interfere with the sealing magic Tsukihime imposed on herself, causing her to gradually awaken. When she realizes that Hoshihime has been pursuing a life of adventure and has already grown to become a powerful fighter in her own right, she becomes increasingly incensed at the possibility of Hoshihime walking down the path of turning Serayumi into a living weapon once more, eventually manifesting as Esteem and engaging in a fateful battle with her other self in "Our Answer," in which Hoshihime barely manages to win. Despite being forced to return to their shared body, Tsukihime eventually comes around to Hoshihime's ideals and begrudgingly assists her when necessary afterwards.Emotionless and efficient, Tsukihime wields powerful summoning magicks in combat. Unlike Hoshihime, she is capable of fully tapping into Serayumi's aether reserves to fend off significant threats that the former cannot otherwise handle on her own. Following Hoshihime's discovery of Tsukihime's existence in Heavensward, Tsukihime is occasionally called upon to fight these powerful enemies. However, she generally prefers to not be the active Serayumi and maintains that Hoshihime should try her best to deal with as much as she can without bothering her. This hands-off attitude sometimes backfires when Hoshihime engages in behavior that she disapproves of; since swapping requires the tacit agreement of both Serayumis, Tsukihime can do nothing but express mild disappointment and chide Hoshihime within their shared consciousness should she choose to do anything that they aren't in agreement on.Tsukihime's weapon of choice is the Grimoire of Ascension. An extremely rare gift from her mother, it is also one of the last physical mementos she has of her following her return to Pandæmonium in Endwalker. Despite their obviously complicated relationship, Tsukihime opts to wield this tome for its immense arcane potential, given that her mother crafted it herself. The nebula that subtly engulfs the weapon reflects how it draws energy from the cosmos themselves. When transformed into a weapon herself, Tsukihime takes the form of the Asphodelos Claymore. The broken blade reflects the state of her mind resulting from the immense trauma residing in the depths of her heart, while the energy projection that completes the weapon is a testament to her potency and mastery over aether.

Miscellaneous information about Serayumi can be found here, giving important context to her character files.
SWITCHING PLACES.
Serayumi can freely swap between Tsukihime, Hoshihime and Seikahime. All three of them draw from the same source of aether and each body is stored as a blueprint in Serayumi's soul. In most cases, only one Serayumi can be actively deployed at a time, although she can overclock her output to temporarily summon her other selves to assist with whatever task is at hand for a short period of time. Following the events in Elpis during Endwalker, Serayumi primarily remains as Seikahime as a default, although she can still manifest in her two other separated forms if she so chooses.
TIME TRAVEL.
Although Serayumi is inherently skilled in combat, her greatest tool that makes her virtually unbeatable in battle is her ability to return to temporal checkpoints. Upon death, Serayumi automatically travels back in time to the beginning of the encounter in which she was defeated. The primary limitation of this ability is that there exists an unbreakable geas on Serayumi's soul that prevents her from harming herself to put her rewinds to more creative uses, such as going back in time to save others from death.
WEAPON TRANSFORMATION.
Just as Serayumi can alter her form according to which one of her personalities is currently in control, each of the Serayumis may also transform into a weapon for someone else to use in battle. The existence of this ability may as well be a myth or a legend, however, as there is virtually no one that Serayumi trusts enough to wield her in a form that lacks agency... unless you believe in the rumors that a certain Xaela hailing from Thavnair is the only person she has given express permission to do so.
OOC stuff! If you wanted to know more about the girl behind this page, you're in the right place.
Hello, I'm Sera! I've been on Mateus since I began my FFXIV journey, primarily playing as Serayumi Seikahime. I started the game shortly before Dawntrail and my interests in it are pretty varied, although I'm primarily a content™ enjoyer. It hasn't always been that way, since I spent my first half year playing this game focusing on making Gil and doing roulettes, but over time I've learned to enjoy lots of different content, especially Criterion Dungeons, Ultimates and PvP. When it comes to doing stuff in this game, however, my first and foremost priority has always been glamours, so my desire to do content is strongly influenced by whether I want something to complete a particular outfit or not. :')While my characters have pretty specific jobs in their lore, I actually kind of play everything, although I have greater affinity with ranged clocks (caster, healer, physical ranged in that order). You probably won't catch me playing tank or melee in content above Extreme level...Another Aloalo Island (Savage) was actually the first piece of hard content that I tackled after I started playing the game in 6.51; I've cleared it eighteen times in total because I just really love the Exquisite weapons from there. As for Ultimates, I'm not nearly as much of a fan of their weapons, but I'll never say no to more Adventurer Plate elements, so I've cleared UWU, UCOB, FRU, TEA and TOP so far, in that order! I've also done them on a different job each time, because why not?In the PvP department, I'm primarily a Frontline enjoyer. It's probably the content I enjoy the most for what it is in this game, so I'm always happy to do it even if there aren't any real rewards in it for me at this point. I also play Crystalline Conflict on occasion, reaching Crystal rank for the first time in Season 14.I only decided to give my characters some lore relatively recently, which is why this page exists now! I had a lot of fun coming up with stuff over the course of a few months, but this is me finally putting the pen to the paper (or rather, the keys to the keyboard). I hope you enjoyed reading as much as I enjoyed writing all of this! ^^Oh, one more thing: I don't do any kind of RP. Despite my obvious interest in writing, RP just isn't my thing at all, so WU/T RP is NOT welcome... However, if you'd just like to chat in an OOC fashion, by all means, go ahead and send a tell — it's always nice to meet new people. It's probably also worth noting that I don't use any sync services; my character is completely vanilla. The screenshots you'll find in my gallery are all vanilla as well!If you're looking to contact me, it's not too difficult to guess my Discord handle. However, I generally ignore random messages or friend requests from people I haven't interacted with, so I'd very much appreciate if you sent me a /tell in-game first if you do!
